Járó motornál akarta kialudni magát egy feltehetően ittas magyar teherautó-vezető Ausztriában Járó motornál, a kormányra borulva akarta kialudni magát egy minden bizonnyal erősen ittas magyar tehergépkocsi-vezető Ausztriában. A rendőrök Tirol tartományban, nem messzire Stanstól figyeltek fel az országút szélén járó motorral veszteglő járműre szombat hajnalban. A sofőrt a kormányra dőlve találták, és csak többszöri próbálkozásra sikerült felébreszteniük őt. Kiszállás közben a negyven éves férfi aztán valósággal kizuhant a fülkéből. A vezetőülés mellett egy ötliteres, vörösboros flaska hevert. Mivel fennállt annak a gyanúja, hogy a sofőr alaposan felöntött a garatra, a rendőrök meg akarták szondáztatni. Az illető azonban megtagadta a vizsgálatot. Jogosítványát bevonták, és óvadékot vetettek ki rá. Thieves Make Off With An Entire Beach |

An entire beach was stolen in Southern Hungary in a story that even lapped the shores of the foreign press, who reported on the theft of "6,000 cubic meters of sand, beach huts, shops and furniture" for export to other Schengen lands. According to local sources, however, the sand is currently covering a cycle path in nearby Hódmezővásárhely. The mayor of Mindszent, Csongrád County, says the sand was removed from the banks of the Tisza river illegally. Cross-border thieves are to be suspected because at part of the Schengen zone there is no border controls between Hungary and other EU states. Hungarian authorities also believe that the stolen material has been shipped across the border to be sold. Land-locked Hungary doesn't have beaches; hence tons of sand were used to make the riverside as real as possible. But managers who cleaned up and covered the leisure park for winter were taken aback to discover that thieves had carted off 6,000 cubic meters of sand and playground rides, huts and even the wooden shops. The border control between EU states in Europe is likely to end, as eight EU states from the former communist bloc, with Hungary, have joined the Schengen zone.
