The Associated Press reports that songwriter Bobby Hebb died on Tuesday at the age of 72. A spokesperson for the funeral home told the Associated Press that Hebb passed away at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., while friends relayed that he had been battling lung cancer.
Tuli Kupferberg, a poet and singer who went from being a noted Beat to becoming, in his words, “the world’s oldest rock star” when he helped found the Fugs, the bawdy and politically pugnacious rock group, died on Monday in Manhattan. He was 86 and lived in Manhattan.
(CNN) -- Dennis Hopper, the one-time Hollywood enfant terrible who portrayed such indelible characters as "Easy Rider's" biker Billy and "Blue Velvet's" and huffing villain Frank Booth, died of prostate cancer Saturday morning at his home in Venice, California, his wife said. He was 74.

Az Egyesült Államokban, a keleti parton
kétévenként kerül sor a New York-i körzet magyar cserkészeinek versmondó
versenyére, amelynek döntőjére 800 kilométeres körzetből érkeznek a cserkészcsapatok
legjobb versmondói. Április 25-én, vasárnap volt a napja, hogy a New Jersey
állam Garfield városában, a Bodnár Gábor Cserkészházban, megméressék
felkészültségüket a versenyzők, akik ezúttal Boston, Garfield, és
Washington D.C. képviseletében vettek részt a magyar nyelv ünneplésén.
