Magyarosauras Reclassification Expected to Reinforce Hungarian Persecution Complex
Thursday, 13 May 2010
Hungarian nationalists tend to respond rather sorely to any perceived slight (no matter how insignificant), so we're already waiting to see what will be the response to news that the Magyarorsaurus dacus, an ethnic Hungarian dinosaur from Transylvania, was recently downgraded from being an impressive titanosaur to a measly dwarf dino following an exhaustive study.

People taking the dinosaur's demotion badly will likely fixate on the name of the main researcher on the project, Koen Stein, while others will likely point out that the dinosaur's second name "dacus" sounds suspiciously Romanian, meaning it was probably just a hairy-soled Vlach trying to pass itself off as a Magyar so it could claim benefits. Obviously. [msnbc.com]
